Barton & Guestier Réserve Merlot is a red wine from the IGP Pays d'Oc appellation, produced by Barton & Guestier from 100% Merlot sourced from the Hérault, Gard, and Aude departments on schist, marls, chalk, and clay soils. Grapes are destemmed and crushed, with a portion undergoing flash détente processing, followed by traditional alcoholic fermentation in vats. The wine employs a 3-week maceration period with micro-oxygenation. Bottled at 13.5-14% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The profile is smooth and fruit-forward with red berry and coffee notes.
